Eat, Drink, and Be Merry! 8 Places You to Join Mozaic This Summer

One of the best parts about living in Hong Kong is the sheer variety of food and drink destinations there are. No matter the budget, cuisine or more, this city has everything you could ask for. If you’re a foodie, or just enjoy unwinding at a nice place with good food and nice drinks, we have the perfect set of options for you.

We at Mozaic Club are hosting a set of TGIF and Happy Hour events at some of our favourite restaurants over the next couple of months! Here’s when and where, and which kind of food you can expect to enjoy at each:

Thai - Ayuthaiya

TGIF: June 8

Are you looking for a variety of tastes on your palate? Whether your tongue craves salt, sweet, sour, or spice (or all at the same time!), the flavours don't get much better than Ayuthaiya. Located bang in the centre of the city, on Hollywood Road directly below the escalator, Ayuthaiya is a must-visit spot. Apart from the incredible variety of Thai food, the restaurant offers an impressive menu of drinks, particularly wines and cocktails. We recommend the Tom Yum martini.

SouthEast Asian - Mamasan

Happy Hour & Dinner: June 11

“An environment where people can feel comfortable to eat, try their hand at cooking or just lounge in a bar,” says Will Meyrick, who is the brainchild behind Bali’s success story Sarong restaurant.  Happy hour drinks are reasonable and tasty and on Mondays guests can enjoy the main course special, order 2, pay for 1.  Why not join and experience some authentic Asian Chinese, Indonesian, Indian, Malay, Singaporean, Thai, Cambodian or Vietnamese cuisine.

Chinese - Forbidden Duck

TGIF: June 22

If you're a fan of duck, look no further. Chef Alvin Leung brings you a unique experience with Cantonese dishes and traditional Chinese cuisine. The signature items are the Peking duck and the slow-cooked roast duck! Sounds mouth-watering, doesn't it?

Japanese - Fumi

TGIF: July 6

If you're a fan of interiors with aesthetics to complement your meal, then you're in the right place. Fumi’s gorgeous ambience is ruled by traditional Japanese bamboo and wooden furniture. Whether it's a simple bowl of rice or a Grilled Miyazaki Beef Sirloin Sukiyaki style, Fumi consistently gets the rich tastes and flavours of their dishes right. Indulge in a mix of modern and traditional Japanese food, and order some sake to go with it!

French - Le Comptoir

Wine Pairing Dinner: July 12

Le Comptoir goes by the motto, "fine dining redefined". They don’t just live up to this motto… they exceed it! The ambience, hospitality, design and art at Le Comptoir make the experience all the more special. The intimate environment is the perfect place to try out some contemporary French food and wine from some of the best vineyards in France! meet.mozaic will be hosting an intimate and private, 5-for-5 evening.  Guests will try 5-Burgundy wines which will be paired with 5-delicious French dishes, all made exclusively for Mozaic members.

British-Bread Street

Happy Hour: July 17

Located in the heart of central, Bread Street Kitchen & Bar offers a relaxed dining experience serving up British classic dishes and innovative cocktails.  Enjoy a clay oven baked pizza topped with San Daniele ham and aged balsamic with a drink for HK$50 with our HK$50@5.  The Happy Hour offers:  Peroni beer, white, red & sparkling wine, house spirits & mixers, cocktails all at HKD50/glass. Guests can join early and stay on for dinner if so desired.

Seafood – Fishsteria

TGIF: July 20

A combination of Fish and Hysteria. Sounds bizarre, doesn't it? Chef Gianni brings you a seafood paradise, with some of the world's most exotic seafood cuisine. Fishsteria serves you the freshest clams, oysters, lobsters and even bluefin tuna! The bar and lounge give the vibe of an Italian fishing village. Choose an Italian cocktail or wine from the rich menu.

Spanish - The Optimist

TGIF: August 10

The Optimist goes by a simple philosophy. They grill things. This resto-bar gives you a one-of-a-kind experience with the Southern European vibe, vintage feel, and all-around quality ambience. What better way to get the experience of Northern Spanish cuisine than an authentic, softly-lit environment? To top it all off, the Spanish-style gin and tonics, and hand-crafted cocktails, are a must-have!
