Mozaic Hosts Evening Junk Trip for Cyberport Tenants to Central

Exclusive e-club, Mozaic prides themselves as the key to liven up the social lives of the over 40 residents of Hong Kong. Mozaic held a successful junk trip offering an opportunity for Cyberport tenants to meet, mingle and have a relaxing evening under the iconic skyline of Asia’s City of Lights.

Boarding the junk (an ancient Chinese sailing ship) from the pier side at Telegraph Bay, Cyberport, provided a relaxing atmosphere for this evening’s ride which took them across the Lamma Channel to the Pearl River Delta through Rambler Channel and the container terminal waterways, under the Tsing Ying Bridge and back via Central Pier before returning to Cyberport. A selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages was available on the triple tier iconic Chinese junk.

The junk boat was spacious yet, cozy with plenty of space for guests to dance their hearts away with friends after a few drinks. An on board DJ ensured that that the music played throughout the night. A friendly crew was on board to serve us a variety of canapés from spicy samosas, meatballs to French cheese and mezze dips.

Rare sights of the city and the container terminals, was offered inclusively through this ride. After about an hour on board, the junk passed by Kwai Tsing Container Terminals (it is known to be one of the world’ busiest port overtaking New York City’s spot in 1986). The entire port was lit up under the night’s sky filled with multi-colored shipping containers stacked among gantry cranes.

Over the course of the evening a full moon appeared.  Guests stepped onto the outer deck of the boat where they could feel the cool evening air with the absence of the pollution of the normal city life. They took advantage of this opportunity of the cityscape backdrop for their photographs which left a very positive impression.

The three-hour boat ride offered a great chance to converse with the other guests on board and allow the conversation to flow endlessly and effortlessly in a relaxing environment away from the city skyscrapers.

It proved to be an enjoyable evening meeting and connecting with new friends and neighbours in the Cyberport community.
