The north-eastern New Territories are home to some of the most beautiful waterfalls of Hong Kong, which come hand in hand with pools.  Some pools are shallow, others are deep and seemingly bottomless and are home to various species of fish, and other waterlife such as the Hong Kong Newt.

Come join us for a challenging hike first to see the Bride's Pool waterfall. Next the Mirror Pool waterfall, followed by a steep scramble up the hill to see the beautiful Mirror Pool, which is located right above this waterfall.  Then we follow the trek up Wang Chung Stream, which has numerous waterfalls and pools along the way, including the iconic Dragonball Fall.  Another half an hour further is the Ice Pool, one of the larger pools, and seemingly bottomless with crystal clear water. Lots of fish can be seen swimming in the waters here.  Another half an hour we will reach the Pat Sin Leng Nature Trail, followed by a fairly easy half hour hike downhill along the trail back finishing at Bride's Pool Road.

We will be guided by Wouter vanMarle, experienced hiker and guide from Adventure Tours.

This tour is fairly challenging, not because of it's length, but because of the terrain. This is a river trek along the Wang Chung Stream  meaning there are boulders all the way. Total duration: about 5 hours, of which 4 hours on trail.

Sturdy hiking shoes, sun protection, plenty of water and a packed lunch are all recommended for this hike.  No food or drinks will be provided.

The cost of public transportation (approximately HKD 25) and your lunch are not included.  Please have a topped-up Octopus card wtih you.
