A sharing-based three-course dinner with two alcoholic drinks, which can be chosen from the house’s selection of red, white, rose or sparkling wines, selected beers and a variety of soft drinks.

 

The restaurant’s name derives from the reward that Napoleon offered in 1795 to anyone who could devise a method of preserving food for his conquering army. Confectioner Nicolas François Appert came up with a method of storing ingredients in bottles of wine that had been brought to the boil before being sealed and claimed the price. As you would expect, this restaurant specialises in preserved foods using both traditional and contemporary methods like smoking, salting and curing – all using the very finest ingredients.

 

The team behind the restaurant, Woolly Pig Concepts, brought on board chef Conor Beach known for his great attention to detail and insistence that everything be created from scratch. His menu is divided into relevant sections: pickled + potted, smoked + salted, vacuumed + fired, and sugar + sweet. The establishment's classic décor of greyscale mosaics was created by Australian designer Emma Maxwell.
