A Wealth of Exhibits

Hong Kong boasts of a vibrant jewellery industry. Be it precious jewels, semi-precious or imitation jewellery, it is a forerunner in the market. The potpourri of cultures in Hong Kong is a major contributing factor towards the large array of jewels that adorn the shops and showrooms here. The influence on the jewellery designs, the use of different jewels and the fine techniques of cutting and shaping come as a result of jewellery enthusiasts from all around the world coming together in this diverse environment, giving its jewellery designers and craftsmen an opportunity to grow and serve locals and tourists alike.

The Hong Kong International Jewellery Show is a spectacle in its own right, celebrating the vibrant and extravagant jewellery industry of Hong Kong. The 35th edition of the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show (HKIJS) is being held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center in the Spring of 2018. Like every year, thousands of exhibitors have come together with the best of their crafts and abilities to put up a show that is like no other in the world. The Jewellery Fair is being organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and is bigger and better than the year before!

The 2017 Jewellery Fair was a grand affair that saw a gathering of around 2,500 international exhibitors. What’s more, the exhibitors attracted a whooping 51,905 buyers from over 144 different nations and regions. It’s noteworthy then that the 2018 exhibit is being touted to be even bigger and better than that of 2017.

The 2018 Jewellery Fair will open with its wealth of exhibits on March 1, 2018, which is a Thursday, and close on March 5, 2018, which falls on a Monday.

The fair will host a number of exhibits and shows. Be it Antique Jewellery, Silver Jewellery, Jade Jewellery, Fine Jewellery or Finished Jewellery, the list goes on – HKIJS has something for every lover of jewellery. The fair caters not only to independent buyers but also to businesses. Different businesses and organizations from the industry will also be exhibiting at the fair, from categories like Tools and Equipment, Jewellery Display and Packaging Material, Trade Publications and Services and Trade Associations. These professionals will not only talk about the actual ornaments and decorative pieces, but discuss the business aspect of the craft as well. Apart from the exhibits mentioned above, there will also be exhibits of Branded Watches and Clocks.

The Exhibition is a joint effort of many top organizations in the industry, with some passionate businessmen coming together to extend the reach of Hong Kongese Jewellery around the world. Although the Hong Kong Trade Development Council is the main organizer of this grand event, HKIJS 2018 has also been co-organized by the Hong Kong Jewellers’ and Goldsmiths’ Association, the Hong Kong Jewellery and Jade Manufacturers’ Association, Hong Kong Jewelry Manufacturers’ Association and Diamond Federation of Hong Kong, China Limited. HKIJS 2018 has been sponsored by Hong Kong Watch Manufacturers Association Ltd and The Federation of Hong Kong Watch Trades & Industries Ltd.
